JOIN US TO CELEBRATE THE WEDDING OFVictoria & Jungwoo

How We Met

Victoria

Jung Woo (Mike) and I met on Bumble in July 2022. He seemed really nice and like someone I could actually vibe with, so I swiped right, and we matched. While we were talking, he asked if I was Korean and was completely shocked when I said yes, which still makes me laugh.

We set up a date, but the night before, we ended up calling, and somehow, two hours flew by without us even noticing. On the day of our first date, we met at the bridge on Michigan, walked along the lake, and talked nonstop. I was so nervous that I tripped on the stairs when I first saw him. Not my best moment, but he was so gentle and considerate about it that I instantly felt comfortable.

We vibed so well that we went to dinner at a Japanese restaurant and laughed the entire time. He was the first guy who laughed at everything I said and really listened so attentively. That meant a lot to me, and I knew right away I wanted to see him again. He was the first person I was actually excited to go on a second date with.

On our second date, we went to the movies, and that was when he officially asked me out.

Two years later, Jung Woo proposed at our hotel in Seoul, and the rest is history.

Victoria and I first met in July 2022 on a beautiful Chicago summer day by the lakefront. From the moment I saw her in person, she reminded me of summer itself, vibrant, radiant, and full of playful energy. Being around her instantly made everything feel lighter.

Time passed so quickly when we were together. Our conversations flowed easily, and before I knew it, hours had gone by. It didn’t take long for me to realize that behind her bright smile was the kindest and most caring soul. She listened so thoughtfully, laughed so freely, and made even the simplest moments feel special.

Fast forward to today, and she is still the same person I met back then. Looking back, asking her out in the summer of 2022 was the best decision I have ever made. It was the beginning of something truly special, and I am so grateful that it led us here and to a lifetime together.
